Carmen Estate Caturra Natural

Carmen Estate is an award winning family farm in the Chiriquí province of Panama. It was founded by Efrain and Carmen Franceschi, who began cultivating arabica on their various estates in the heart of the Barú Volcano coffee-growing region. The estate is now run by Carlos Aguilera Francheschi and his family, and produces around 1,200 bags per year of SHB arabica of the Caturra and Catuai varieties. Ripe, red cherry is selectively handpicked. Cherry is then fermented for 24 to 72 hours. Following fermentation, parchment is washed in clean water and moved to the drying beds.
